Any type of profession could lead to an individual being a position where he or she could become injured or ill. North Carolina residents may be interested in a fatal situation that recently took place in a nearby state. Reports indicated that the accident occurred at a UPS shipping center. Apparently, a worker stepped off of a loading dock as a tractor-trailer was backing into the same area. As a result, the individual was on the ground between the dock door and the truck, and he was hit by the truck’s trailer.
The driver of the truck did not realize that anyone was injured until after the accident. The UPS worker was transported from the scene to an area hospital and was initially considered to be in critical condition. He later died due to the injuries he suffered. He was reported as being 48 years old.
