NC Legislature Hides Workers’ Compensation Insurance Coverage From Public

Even though there are thousands of employers committing workers’ compensation fraud in this State every year by failing to purchase workers’ compensation insurance, our legislature has now made it a lot harder to find out if an employer is complying with the law.

The GOP-controlled NC General Assembly has decided to prevent the public, including workers, from being able to determine whether their employer has workers’ compensation insurance.   Here is an article from the Raleigh News and Observer explaining this new development:
